ABC UTAH MEMBERS LOBBY IN D.C. (06/30/2010)

Members of ABC Utah and several of its Board of Directors spent a day at Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. lobbying important construction industry and small business issues to Utah's elected delegation. Among the key issues discussed at the meetings were:

  •  Permanent repeal of the Death Tax (which is set to be reinstated in 2011) More Information
  •  Protect the rights of employees by defeating EFCA (The employee free choice act) More Information
  •  Passage of responsible business friendly Health Care Reform More Information
  •  End Government Mandated Project Labor Agreements More Information
  •  Opposition to any 'Energy' legislation that imposes "cap and trade" provisions which will destroy American jobs while dramatically increasing energy costs More Information
  •  Promote access to capitol by lifting the 'freeze' that Lenders have imposed on funding for private construction projects
